Nobel Prize winner and "Father of Helicobacter pylori" will deliver a keynote speech

Guangdong news:  Lion Lake International Leisure and Tourism Resort, located in Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, will host an international conference. The reporter recently learned that the 2023 Lion Lake International Microbiome Conference, which has drawn many biomedical experts and scholars from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao, as well as other countries and regions, will be held in Lion Lake from October 28 to 30. At that time, Professor Barry J. Marshall, the Nobel Prize winner in medicine and the "father of Helicobacter pylori," will give a keynote speech at the conference.

The Qingyuan Municipal People's Government of Guangdong Province is directing this high-end, cutting-edge academic conference, which is co-sponsored by Qingyuan Science and Technology Association, Qingyuan Zoomic Microbiome Research Institute, and Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Society. Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Society Microbiome Branch, Guangzhou Bioengineering Centre Co., Ltd., Beijing Chinagut Biotechnology Research Institute, Shenzhen Zoomic Biomedical Co., Ltd., and the Professional Committee for Hepatology and Gastroenterology of the Guangdong Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, while Gut Microbes magazine (Taylor & Francis) and Medicine in Microecology magazine (Elsevier) provided.

Microbiome is a branch of biology. It involves the adaptation of organisms to their internal environment (including microbial, biochemical, and biophysical environments) and is closely related to human health as a science that studies the interdependence and mutual restriction between normal microbial groups and their hosts. Human medicine is currently transitioning from therapeutic medicine to preventive medicine and then to health care medicine. Microbiome is the fundamental subject of health care medicine theory and practice.

This conference will focus on basic, clinical, and transformation research related to microbiome and human health, and will bring together well-known experts and scholars from international microbiome groups, clinicians, industry representatives, and government regulatory agencies to discuss new microbiome research progress and to promote clinical application and industrial transformation of microbiome research.
