Exhibitors from China and Russia are showcasing their finest products at the ongoing eighth China-Russia Expo in Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, with many delegates taking the opportunity to network in both Russian and Chinese.
The exhibition, taking place from May 16 to May 21, is offering a great platform for direct communication and interaction between participants from China and Russia.
Ma Tengyue, a Russian student at Beijing Language and Culture University, introduced to the China Global Television Network (CGTN) an elaborate traditional Russian costume.
"This is a traditional Russian ethnic costume with a hat and a red dress," said Ma.
Another Russian student, Sophia from Northeast Agricultural University, is impressed by how modern China is.
"I think China is awesome, because we find a lot of things in China that Russia does not have," said Sophia.
The exhibition area covers nearly 400,000 square meters, which could take days to fully explore. One of the main highlights of the exhibition is Russian cuisine, which is a major attraction for visitors.
"Five years ago I started a project of growing scallop and sea cucumber. My farm is located just 60 kilometers from the border with China. On our farm, we also invite guests and we show them how we grow the product and they can taste our product which is just taken from the sea," said Vasiliy Grebennikov, owner and CEO of Grebenfarm.
Nearly 200 Chinese companies and 170 Russian firms are taking part in the exhibition. Most of them have clear goals and markets to target at the exhibition.
"We've brought our KS01 and KS02 models, which are two vehicles built for the countries, regions and markets participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. We've put these two models on the road by blending cutting-edge technologies, revitalizing our current assets, and maintaining a proactive approach to research and development," said Sun Yi, vice president of the Sensteed Hi-Tech Group.
