Watching the harvest scenery and taste the feast
[Fuzhou Evening News]On September 23rd, the "Harvest Folk Songs" of all cities and districts in Fuzhou were sung in sequence, marking the beginning of the 2023 agricultural harvest in Fuzhou. As the main venue of this year's Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival in Fuzhou, the She Ethnic Theme Park in Tingyangban Village, Qibu Town, Luoyuan County welcomed guests from all over the world on September 23 to attend this annual harvest celebration.
Unlike the past where celebrities were the main drivers for festival performances, the main venue of the Luoyuan Harvest Festival presented a grand harvest event with farmers who were the main protagonists. Many of the programs performed on stage were spontaneously arranged by farmers.
On the morning of September 23rd, the Fuzhou Harvest Fair, organized by farmers from all over Fuzhou, officially opened. Thirty-one stalls from agricultural and rural departments and enterprises in counties (cities) such as Changle, Mawei, Cangshan, Lianjiang, Yongtai, Fuqing, and Gaoxin were arranged in a row filled with Minhou rice, Langqi fruits, Lianjiang lavers, Cangshan jasmine tea, Yongtai plum... Tourists were walking in a cheerful pace with baskets of vegetables, through a variety of stalls with seasonal food.
At 11:30 am on the same day, the hundred meter long feast came to an end. As the host of this harvest festival, Luo Yuan County presented the three famous local dishes - mushroom, abalone, and Xialin mutton to the dining table. The cooks has won praise from tourists with fresh ingredients, sufficient firepower, exquisite knife skills, and fast cooking speed.
