China and Indonesia's "Two Countries, Two Parks" has great potential


[Fuzhou Evening News]September 17th, a delegation of over a hundred members, including key figures and youth representatives from Hong Kong and Macau, led by Yu Peidi, Chairman of the Hong Kong Fuzhou Association, visited various places such as the "China-Indonesia Industrial Park," Shengtian (Fuqing) Food Co., Ltd., and the Fuqing Overseas Chinese Museum. During their visit, they experienced the high-quality development of their hometown and explored new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.

Many expressed their belief that the China-Indonesia "Two-Country Industrial Park" holds great promise. They plan to leverage their respective strengths, actively facilitate connections, and invest in and contribute to their hometown. This will help in the construction of a more beautiful coastal and scenic city in Fuzhou.

As a flagship project under the "Belt and Road Initiative," the China-Indonesia "Two-Country Industrial Park" is the first economic and trade innovative development demonstration zone between China and ASEAN countries. It explores a new model of capacity cooperation between the two countries through the establishment of industrial parks, aiming to create a new engine for the expanded open development of Fujian. During their visit, the delegation learned about the economic development, investment environment, and project construction in the China-Indonesia "Two-Country Industrial Park" and Shengtian (Fuqing) Food Co., Ltd.

"Cross-border cooperation is advantageous for high-level 'going out' and high-quality 'bringing in'," stated Lin Yu, the Executive Vice President of the Macao-Fuzhou Shiyi Association. He believes that the innovative economic and trade development model represented by the China-Indonesia "Two-Country Industrial Park" will undoubtedly elevate the economic and trade relations between Fuzhou, Fujian, China, and Indonesia to new heights.

Yung Ngaling, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Fuzhou Community Association, also holds great expectations for the China-Indonesia "Two-Country Industrial Park." She emphasized the deep-rooted connections between Fuqing and Indonesia, with Fuqing-origin overseas Chinese playing a significant role among the Indonesian Chinese community. Yung Ngaling mentioned that they would leverage their family business advantages in Indonesia to actively promote and introduce the China-Indonesia "Two-Country Industrial Park," seek suitable projects, and collaborate for mutual success in the future.

"Originally, there was a strong foundation here in terms of trade, culture, and now, with more policy support, the China-Indonesia 'Two-Country Industrial Park' holds great promise," said Chan Sauman, Vice Chairman of the Macau Fuzhou Shiyi Community Association. He mentioned that they would act as a bridge and liaison for the chamber of commerce, attracting more high-quality enterprises to join in the development of the park and contribute to the economic growth of their hometown, Fuzhou.  (Wang Yuping)
