On December 2 local time, the DMU train developed by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. for the UAE’s national railway was unveiled in a ceremony celebrating the 51st anniversary of the founding of the UAE. As the first DMU train China has exported to the UAE, it features a designed operating speed of 200 km/h, the fastest in the world.

The modernized DMU train, tailor-made to suit the UAE’s railway operating conditions and requirements, is the fastest among its international peers, excels technologically in high temperature resistance and sand prevention, and reaches the internationally advanced level.

The DMUs exported by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. to the UAE’s national railway, known as the country’s first trunk railway passenger transportation project and demonstration pilot project in the regard, are expected to help the UAE build a modern railway network in line with international standards and to advance the integration of railway across the countries in the gulf region.  (Liu Lanxing)
