Shandong Development and Reform Commission has recently printed and issued the 2024 adjusted list of provincial key projects. A number of projects such as Saifei EB-PVD project in Qingdao are added. After the adjustment, Qingdao has 135 provincial key projects, including 134 implementation projects and 1 preparation project. All the 134 key implementation projects are under fast-paced construction to result in more amounts of tangible work and effective investment.

It is reported that projects added this time are mostly major industrial projects, covering high-end equipment, modern logistics, new-generation information technology among other sectors. There are both major projects in emerging industries such as AstraZeneca inhalation aerosol production and supply base, the advanced integrated circuit equipment park of Qingdao City Construction Investment (Group) Co., Ltd. and the comprehensive ancillary area (north division) of Qingdao VR industry park, and projects aimed at shoring up the strength of competitive industry chains such as Haier integrated manufacturing project for refrigerator modules in Jiaozhou. There are both modern service projects such as Deppon intelligent logistics industry park and Qingdao airport business district project, and projects designed to improve people’s livelihood such as the Tsinghua Qingdao hospital, the Fenghe wetland park and the Qingdao University stomatological hospital. All these projects will play a guiding, underpinning and exemplary role.  (Yang Guang)
