In the Qingdao Cross-border E-commerce Overseas Warehousing Resources Matchmaking Event held on the morning of March 5, eight key overseas warehousing operators such as Shandong Port Overseas Development Group, and CNBM International Middle East and North Africa Company had face-to-face communication with foreign trade companies, aiming to build an outpost for these companies to venture abroad through playing the enabling role of policies and finance, and coordinating resources.

Among the second batch of China’s comprehensive pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce, Qingdao sustains efforts to launch innovative systems and mechanisms, and improve policies and environment to incentivize businesses to capitalize on overseas warehousing to bolster exports. Qingdao issued the Several Policy Measures on Accelerating High-Quality Development of Cross-border E-commerce and the Implementation Opinions for Promoting High-quality Development of Overseas Warehousing and took other concrete steps to facilitate industrial development in a sustained and health way.

The latest data show that nearly 40 Qingdao-based businesses have by far established 103 overseas warehouses, whose total area exceeds 650,000 square meters, in 38 countries and regions. These warehouses have provided services to more than 20,000 companies in total, composing in the main a new foreign trade logistics system featuring global coverage and coordinated development. Qingdao will continue to step up policy support and services to instruct overseas warehousing operators to improve their presence, operation and management so that Qingdao-based foreign trade enterprises can ride the wave of overseas warehousing to make solid strides in tapping international markets.
