Qingdao recently set forth 2025 priorities for marine tourism. Qingdao will move faster to bolster the marine tourism industry chain across different categories and scenarios, and accelerate efforts to make the best of marine tourism scenarios to power high-quality development of cultural tourism with new products, modes and forms. In regard to such key sectors as nighttime tour around the old urban area, island tourism, performance-oriented tourism and cruise tourism, Qingdao will take faster steps to build a high-quality spectrum of products from multiple dimensions and core cultural tourism brands to fully unleash the consumption potential.
This year, Qingdao Tourism Group will work further to improve cultural tourism experience in the old town, press ahead with the nocturnal navigation route around Zhanqiao Pier to boost nighttime tourism in the old town. Citizens and tourists will be able to enjoy from the sea classic views of Qingdao such as Huilan Pavilion and Little Qingdao Beacon. Furthermore, Qingdao will take solid steps to open new routes to Zhucha Island and Lingshan Island, and use privately-operated transport capacity to build routes around the Undersea World, ferry routes and routes involving multiple stops. These efforts are intended to accelerate the integration of marine transportation and tourism in Jiaozhou Bay, and help build a cluster area for high-end yachting industry in Northeast Asia that integrates exhibitions, transactions and negotiations as well as a comprehensive trading platform for marine equipment.
