Qingdao in East China's Shandong province opened a new fitness center on May 11, adding a stylish sports landmark to the city.

This sports complex, transformed from an old granary, revitalizes the city's outdated spaces and demonstrates the achievements of urban renewal and the integration of culture, sports, and tourism.

With a total construction area of 4,181 square meters, the center includes six individual buildings. These feature a CBA basketball park, a basketball training base for children, and a badminton hall. Each venue uses a classic truss structure, with the exterior facade maintaining the texture of red bricks to preserve the site's historical charm.

The center aims to create a benchmark sports park that integrates leisure, fitness, and entertainment. It serves multiple communities and schools in the surrounding areas, promoting sports services to the public.

By enhancing the sports service network in the old city area, residents can access high-quality services from professional venues nearby, boosting the national fitness initiative.

Additionally, the center introduces the esports industry to create new trends in sports consumption. In the future, it aims to become a landmark for national fitness, youth training, and commercial facilities, leading the city's cultural and sports life in a new direction.
