More than 200 foreign-funded enterprises pursue long-term development in Qingdao National High-tech 2025/6/14 source: International daily Print

We have recently learned from the Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone that the Zone is home to 271 foreign-funded enterprises with a total of USD 6.85 bln, as many as 34 of which are industrial enterprises above designated size. With its unremitting efforts to foster a top-tier business environment that is market-oriented, law-based and internationalized, the Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone is appealing to an increasing number of foreign-funded enterprises.

The construction of the AstraZeneca's inhalation aerosol production and supply base in Qingdao, the first manufacturing project introduced by Shandong Province from a multinational pharmaceutical company, is currently in full swing. “It is impossible for the project to materialize without the Zone’s tremendous efficiency in signing agreements, approving land use and facilitating construction as well as its commitment to resolving issues despite cross-border restrictions and time differences.” said Yuan Xuyi, general manager of AstraZeneca’s plant in Qingdao.

Since launching a business presence in the Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in 2012, Edwards Vacuum Pump Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has invested a combined total of RMB1.1 bln, and ramped up its production capacity for four times. Hexagon, which has located its Greater China headquarters in the Zone, recently made an additional investment of more than RMB50 mln to add two production lines for high-end portable precision measuring instruments. Multinationals are taking concrete actions in the Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone to continue to write a new chapter in investing and seeking win-win cooperation in China.  (Zhou Wei)
