As a globally renowned tourist city, Qingdao sees a burgeoning cluster of high-quality tourist hotels represented by high-end leisure and recreation hotels, starred hotels and themed homestays.

Over the recent years, Qingdao has taken the lead in the number of both newly-created five-star hotels and newly-opened high-end hotels. St.Regis, Westin and Sheraton under Marriott Group, Hilton and Doubletree under Hilton Group, InterContinental and Crown Plaza under InterContinental Group, Wyndham and Howard Johnson under Wynham Group, Shangri-La, Hyatt, Wenhua, Jiahua and Himalaya under Wanda Group have all business presence in Qingdao. The cluster of coastal tourist hotels composed of starred hotels and international branded hotels has become an attraction of Qingdao tourism.
