The first phase of the 139th Canton Fair, themed "advanced manufacturing", concluded on April 19. The Qingdao delegation included 301 exhibitors, led by Haier, Hisense, Aucma, and Doublestar, showcasing products ranging from home appliances to auto parts.

Haier's journey at the Canton Fair began in 1988 with a half-booth and two refrigerators. Now, Haier Smart Home has a 500-square-meter booth with the theme "AI For Home", focusing on AI technology, energy efficiency, and comprehensive HVAC solutions.

With global retail sales of major appliances leading the world for 17 consecutive years, Haier has built an integrated local network for R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and services worldwide.

"This is the best time for Chinese companies," said Zhang Qingfu, vice-president for the overseas operation of Haier. He noted that buyers now focus more on technology, solutions, and long-term cooperation than on single-product prices.

Hisense, another major Qingdao company, participated with the theme Innovating a Brighter Life, combining sports marketing with cutting-edge display technologies. As a pioneer of RGB MiniLED, Hisense saw global sales of MiniLED TVs rise 32.5 percent in 2025, and its laser TVs hold over 70 percent of the global market.

At the fair, Hisense showcased the 116-inch RGB MiniLED TV UX2026 with a new "sky cyan" backlight.

"Local innovation is central to our global strategy," said Zhang Baozhuo, general manager of Hisense's brand and marketing department.

Hisense has established a global regional operations center system covering Europe, North America, Latin America, ASEAN, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific, India, and China. The main goal is to fully empower frontline market teams, enabling rapid response to whatever the market demands.

Both companies are accelerating their expansion into emerging markets, using the Canton Fair as a platform to strengthen global ties and drive high-quality foreign trade growth.
