Qingdao WCNA also hosted the First Ocean Decade International Coastal Cities Conference. As an area focused on the marine economy, it has taken new steps in advancing ocean-based development.

Innovation sped up the development of new quality productive forces. The area deepened its "10+1" innovation system, introducing projects in healthcare and clean energy. It participated in the drafting of 233 national and industry standards, and four companies were recognized among China's first high-level quality management enterprises.

In 2025, the area introduced 129 projects valued at over 100 million yuan each, with 75.2 percent starting construction or operation within the year.

In film and culture, the area established an international film service center, supporting 150 film and TV productions. It also created a short-drama production base and opened a base for micro-dramas.

The Qingdao WCNA is committed to intensive development and deeper urban-rural integration, in order to accelerate a high-quality and modern city for the people.
