The seventh Qingdao Multinationals Summit is running from June 15 to 17 at the Qingdao International Conference Center.
Jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Shandong Provincial Government, the summit is based on the theme of "Advancing with the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) for Innovation and Future". It has brought together 357 multinational corporations from 44 countries and regions.
As China's first national-level economy and trade event tailored specifically for multinationals, the summit has been held annually since 2019. Over the past six years, it has facilitated the signing of 632 key investment projects with a total value of $75.73 billion, establishing itself as a vital platform for China's high-level opening-up and deepening cooperation with global companies.
This year's lineup reflects the summit's growing international influence. Among the 357 participating companies are 105 Global Fortune 500 firms and 252 industry leaders. Notably, modern service sector companies account for 20 percent of the total — the highest share on record — highlighting new trends in multinational cooperation during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
The summit features 29 events across three main segments: opening ceremonies and forums, meetings and dialogues, and parallel sessions. These activities cover investment promotion, trade matchmaking, industry exchanges, and regional cooperation, with the goal of presenting China's opening-up policies, market opportunities, and innovation space. The summit serves as a bridge for multinationals to integrate more deeply into China's industrial, supply, and innovation chains.
