A Qingdao-Bavaria international cooperation matchmaking meeting was held at the Sino-German Eco-Park in the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Qingdao FTZ) on July 1, bringing together more than 20 representatives from government and business circles in China and Germany to explore new opportunities for bilateral collaboration.

Participants exchanged views on intelligent manufacturing, green development, cross-border trade and the dual vocational education system, reaching broad consensus on advancing practical cooperation across key sectors.

The event underscored the growing ties between Shandong province and Bavaria, as well as the longstanding partnership between Qingdao and its sister-city of Regensburg.

Representatives from the Bavarian government spoke highly of the development of the Sino-German Eco-Park, noting that it has effectively balanced economic growth with environmental protection by embedding green and sustainable development concepts into urban planning and industrial development. They described the park as a model for regional sustainable cooperation.

The Bavarian side also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting exchanges with Shandong in trade, education, environmental protection and industrial development.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Sino-German Eco-Park Experience and Operations Center and Diehl Controls (Qingdao), gaining firsthand insight into the park's industrial development, innovation ecosystem and business environment.
