Readers immerse themselves in a haven of literature at Shenzhen Library’s north division, which fully opened to the public in December last year. Starting yesterday, the division’s adult and children’s sections are accessible without needing reservations. As a new cultural landmark in Shenzhen, Shenzhen Library’s north venue boasts six above-ground floors and three underground floors with 2,500 seats. The adult section on the second to fifth floors and the children’s section welcome readers from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday. The adult section on the first floor is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday, providing access to newspapers and magazines. The library conducts facility maintenance Mondays, with the first floor reading area open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. An array of activities will be held at the north division during the Spring Festival holiday, featuring events like cultural lectures, Cantonese opera performances, and shadow puppet shows to create a festive ambiance for bibliophiles.     Hu Lei
