THE president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is scheduled to visit Shenzhen today as part of his three-day state visit to China.

At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Mirziyoyev is on a state visit to China from Tuesday to today.

During his visit to Shenzhen, the president will learn about the city’s economic and social development and visit several enterprises to promote friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Shenzhen.

China and Uzbekistan established diplomatic ties 32 years ago. Mirziyoyev’s visit demonstrates the high level of China-Uzbekistan relations and the profound friendship between the two heads of state, a foreign ministry spokesperson told a regular press briefing earlier.
