THE flexible cross-border train ticketing program between Shenzhen’s Futian Station and Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Station has now been extended to include the Shenzhen North Station.
The move aims to further boost connectivity between the two cities, Guangzhou Railway Group Corp said in a press release yesterday.
Under the program, passengers with valid tickets to and from the aforementioned stations can apply for ticket modifications free of charge on their date of travel, up to three times.
Travelers have the option to reschedule their trips up to one hour after their original train’s departure and must do so at least 15 minutes prior to the new departure time. However, changes to the departure and destination stations are not permitted.
Ticket type or seating class alterations are not allowed when requesting a change. Passengers can only make changes to train services that are priced the same as their current tickets to avoid any fare discrepancies.
Changes can be made through the China Railway app, the www.12306.cn website, and at the ticket counters and vending machines located in the stations.
