REPRESENTATIVES of 101 firms hailing from across the country were invited to visit Shenzhen University’s Yuehai campus Friday for the university’s first on-campus school-enterprise exchange day event.
Previously, the school-enterprise exchange day event entailed students visiting companies off-campus. However, this year saw companies visit the campus to become familiar with the university’s culture and its current students.
The event drew top companies like Huawei, Tencent, and BYD, along with companies recommended by colleges and those that have long-standing collaborations with Shenzhen University (SZU).
Company representatives were invited to offer advice to new graduates. Peng Xiao, the manager of Tencent’s campus employment in South China, emphasized that for new graduates with limited work experience, the most crucial skill is the ability to acquire new knowledge and effectively apply it in their work.
