THE Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport officially opened its Jiangmen terminal Wednesday, which will enable people on the western side of the Pearl River Delta to conveniently travel to the airport for flights via the Shenzhong Link.

The Jiangmen terminal is the second to be established in a city on the other side of the delta, with the first in Zhongshan, after the Shenzhong Link opened in June. Located in Xinhui District, the Jiangmen terminal offers check-in services for flight passengers.

With the opening of the terminal, the express bus service that runs between Shenzhen and Jiangmen via the Shenzhong Link has increased to 32 round trips per day from 24. The Shenzhong Link has cut the travel time between Jiangmen and Shenzhen to about one hour.

Buses departing from Jiangmen run from 4:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., while those departing from the Shenzhen airport run from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The airport has set up a dedicated waiting area for passengers in Terminal 3, which is about 50 meters away from the bus boarding area in the P5 parking lot.
