THE One Voice Children’s Choir from the U.S. embarked on its 2025 New Year China Tour with a resounding debut in Shenzhen yesterday evening, marking its second musical journey across the Chinese mainland.

Yesterday afternoon, the Beluga Boys’ Choir from Shenzhen welcomed the 49 American visitors with open arms and angelic harmonies. The cultural exchange began at the Bay Opera of Shenzhen in Bao’an District, where the two choirs united for an electrifying music flash mob, transforming the city’s iconic venue into a symphony of youthful voices.

Expressing his excitement for the event, Zhang Junyi, a member of the Beluga Boys’ Choir, said, “I enjoy singing and making friends. This is an exciting experience.”

Gao Yichen, another member of the choir, echoed the sentiment, stating, “We’re thrilled to meet the One Voice Children’s Choir and hope for more opportunities to sing and create memories together.”

Huang Xianchen, another participant in the choir, spoke about the preparation for the flash mob. “I’m thrilled to join this flash mob with the One Voice Children’s Choir,” he said.

Huang disclosed that they had been practicing “Auld Lang Syne” for two months with the hope of connecting with these wonderful singers from the U.S. through the universal language of music.

Following the music flash mob in the grand foyer of the Bay Opera of Shenzhen, the Beluga Boys’ Choir and the visiting One Voice Children’s Choir engaged in a heartwarming exchange of gifts.

The One Voice Children’s Choir’s tour is expected to continue captivating audiences across China until Jan. 13, 2025, fostering cultural understanding and harmony through songs.
