YANTAI -- Yantai City in east China's Shandong Province initiated an international wine festival to promote local wine and stimulate consumption. The festival, starting from mid-August and will last two months, features both online and offline activities and contains various cultural and tourism attractions.
As the birthplace of China's modern wine industry, Yantai boasts about 30 percent of China's wine enterprises above designated size and half of the total profits. In recent years, Yantai has made brewery a pillar industry to promote its high-quality economic development.
