Since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed ten years ago, the China-Europe freight trains have been acting as a new trade platform for countries alongside the route, injecting more economic vitalities.
On September 15, the website for China Railway Express was officially launched. It can provide one-stop, multilingual and comprehensive services and information about the express train service to clients at home and abroad.
With only several clicks, clients can finish the whole process online.
"You can choose between different languages -- Chinese, English, Russian. We believe that the platform will close the distance and provide borderless service," said Vitaliy, an international freight forwarder at the Xi'an International Port station.
Over the past decade, the number of China-Europe freight trains has grown steadily. By the end of August, over 77,000 trains have been operated, with 7.31 million containers being transported.
The route also connects 122 cities across China, as well as 217 cities in 25 European countries.
For now, residents in Europe can place orders on cross-border e-commerce platforms, and they will receive made-in-China products from overseas warehouses sent by the China-Europe freight trains as early as the very next day.
"The delivery via China-Europe freight trains has become more and more efficient. I can also track the package," said Vanessa, a consumer from Spain.
The quality of China-Europe freight train operation has enhanced as well. So far, the train journey between China and Germany has shortened to within 10 days, adding more impetus into trade between Asia and Europe.
"The China-Europe Railway Express has achieved remarkable results in the past ten years, bringing revolutions to the European rail market. With the express, we've transported many goods. We're grateful to China," said Marcel Stein, CEO of Bahnoperator Group.
The railway network across Eurasia has become the bridges among countries for mutual benefit. It also stabilizes the international industrial chain and supply chain.
"Against the backdrop of sluggish growth in international trade, the trade between China and Belt and Road partners still has been growing strongly. The steady operation and rapid development of China-Europe freight trains has brought resilience and impetus to the economic and trade exchanges among countries along the routes," said Wang Dongming, deputy director of the Institute of Comprehensive Transport under the National Development and Reform Commission.
