The 2025 Spring Festival film releases have achieved a historic milestone, with total box office revenue (including pre-sales) surpassing 20 billion yuan (about 2.76 billion U.S. dollars) as of 18:00 Monday.

The animated blockbuster "Ne Zha 2" has grossed over 13.6 billion yuan (about 1.88 billion U.S. dollars) in total.
It is the first film to surpass 1 billion U.S. dollars in a single market and the first non-Hollywood title to join the billion-dollar club.
"Ne Zha 2" became the highest-grossing animated film of all time globally on Feb 18.
