Creative and culturally rich products from the countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) are hotly pursued at the ongoing 19th China International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) which opened on Wednesday in Shenzhen City of south China's Guangdong Province.
The five-day event, held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, features six exhibition halls including the Belt and Road International Hall, where products from outside China are attracting numerous visitors.
Covering an area of 20,000 square meters, the Belt and Road hall showcases creative products from all over the world, including but not limited to countries along the BRI routes.
Dedicated to products from outside China, the hall accommodates more than 300 exhibitors from over 50 countries and regions, resuming to the best level before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many exhibitors say that the fair helps them meet new customers.
"This is our second time attending the fair. We want to introduce more of our handicrafts with Iranian characteristics to Chinese customers," said an Iranian exhibitor.
Artists view the fair as an opportunity to seek cooperation and promote their art pieces.
"I appreciate it very much when I come here to see how creative you are and how dynamic you are in creation. And I know a lot of Chinese designers, very young and very good designers and we can work together. Our two countries can work together," said Anne-Marie Sargueil, President of the French Institute of Design.
"I am coming here to sell my paintings. Lots of customers have already come to purchase my works," said Mohan Kumar Prajapati, an Indian artist selling miniature paintings.
More than 20,000 visitors from over 100 countries and regions have confirmed to attend the event, in addition to numerous professional buyers.
"We are a company that focuses on presenting ancient artifacts with digital technologies, and we are here to learn the new developments in this industry," said Zhang Long, a visitor.
