The 19th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival will be held in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, from June 20 to 24, with 59 countries and regions participating.

With the theme of "capital of Cartoon and Animation, host city of Asian Games", the festival will hold 20 events in five sections, including exhibition, competition, forum, business and other activities.

The main venue of the event is the Baimahu International Convention and Exhibition Center.

A sub-venue of the China Cartoon and Animation Museum was set up for the first time, with an exhibition and activity area exceeding 65,000 square meters. Six sub-venues will also be set up during the event.

The 19th Asian Games, set to run from Sept 23 to Oct 8, will be held in Hangzhou, along with other five cities in east China's Zhejiang Province.

Therefore, the organizer of the festival integrated the elements of the Asian Games to attract more young people to participate in the Games.

So far, a total of 469 Chinese and foreign enterprises, colleges and institutions from 59 countries and regions have participated in various online and offline activities of the festival.

"In addition to the Disney from the United States, Sony from Japan, animation group from Russia and other international well-known enterprises and groups, enterprises and institutions from Kyrgyzstan and other countries along the Belt and Road will also participate in the event for the first time. More than 650 brand IPs will be displayed during the festival," said Huang Haifeng, director of the executive committee of the festival.

At the same time, an online platform will be rolled out during the event, aiming to provide immersive experience for visitors.
