The 2026 Yangtze River Delta International Youth Film Festival opened Saturday in Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province.
The festival features a youth film venture capital initiative, a forum on emerging forces in China's film industry, film screenings and themed activities, among others. It will also host a China-Africa youth filmmakers roundtable and a dialog on the film and television industries from across the Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong and Macao.
As China's first week-long film event dedicated to young filmmakers, it aims to build a professional and comprehensive platform that supports innovation among young filmmakers, nurtures new film talent, promotes the application of film technology and strengthens international exchanges in cinema.
A range of "Film Plus" activities combining film, technology and urban life also kicked off the same day at Ningbo's cultural plaza.
The festival is co-sponsored by China Media Group and the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, under the guidance of the China Film Administration. It runs through Friday.
