A time-lapse footage of an adorable newborn panda cub sleeping on the lawn in the company of its keeper has been released by the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The footage was filmed on Nov 27 and released on Dec 6.
In the heart-melting clip showed a keeper stood quietly watching the cub born this year napping on the grass, while providing shade for the animal at the Star Giant Panda Nursery House.
The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a world-renowned institution for the conservation of giant pandas.
The base is famous for its work in protecting and breeding giant pandas, red pandas and other endangered wild animals exclusive to China as well as its educational outreach programs and its role as a major tourist attraction.
