Three male peacocks ran to show off their beautiful tail feathers at the zoo in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou. The flaunting birds caught much attention from visitors.
It's close to the peacock rutting season, when males display their huge and magnificent tail to attract mates and compete with other males.
Active peacocks will also vibrate their wings and sometimes crouch and stand up to show their affection in order to win the favor of the female.
As these large, colorful birds competed for attention, tourists marveled at the parade.
"It circled around for people to take pictures when spreading its tail feathers and kept other peacocks away," said a child visitor.
"What a romantic scene in spring! I was amazed as it's the first time I've seen a peacock spreading its tail," acclaimed another tourist.
As spring approaches, other birds at the Guangzhou Zoo are also entering their mating and breeding season. The peacocks are still courting, while the swans in the lake are already teaching their babies how to groom their feathers.
