JERUSALEM, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Slovakian champions Patrioti Levice registered a 74-64 road victory over Israeli club Hapoel Haifa in the FIBA Europe Cup on Tuesday evening.
It was Levice's first win in the four-team Group J, while Haifa currently has a win-loss record of 2-3, as the top two finishers from the group will advance to the last eight.
The first quarter of the game played at the Romema Arena in Haifa ended 14-14 before Ben Kovac inspired Levice to take a 37-32 lead at halftime.
Kadeem Allen helped Haifa get back into business in the third quarter, which ended 54-53 for the visitors, but Kovac and Miha Lapornik secured the away win.
Lapornik scored a game-high 21 points and Tre McCallum had 15 points for Levice, while Kovac added 14. Allen scored 15 points for Haifa.
With a 2-2 record, Budivelnyk Kyiv will play on Wednesday away to Finnish champion Karhu Basket, who top the group with a 4-0 record.
The two qualifying teams will be decided next week when Karhu host Haifa and Kyiv play Levice.
