JERUSALEM, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- Hapoel Jerusalem achieved a dramatic 65-63 away win in an Israeli derby game against Hapoel Holon in the round of 16 of the FIBA Basketball Champions League on Wednesday evening.
A three-pointer by Joe Ragland made it 63-63 with 27 seconds left, but Khadeen Carrington gave Jerusalem a 65-63 lead with 14 seconds to play.
C.J. Harris missed a three-pointer with less than a second remaining, allowing the visitors to celebrate the victory.
It was Jerusalem's first win from two games in Group I, while Holon remained winless.
Chris Johnson led Holon to an 18-15 lead in the first quarter of the game played at the Toto Arena in Holon.
Shawn Dawson helped the hosts extend their lead to 29-20 on the way to 35-30 at halftime.
Thanks to Levi Randolph and Speedy Smith, Jerusalem then turned the game around and went ahead 47-46 at the end of the third quarter.
Randolph scored 21 points for Jerusalem, while Carrington added 16. Ragland led Holon with 19 points.
Jerusalem will host SIG Strasbourg on February 7, while Holon visit JDA Dijon on February 8. Top two finishers from the group will qualify for the quarterfinals.
