BUENOS AIRES, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Talleres Cordoba climbed to fifth in Argentina's Primera Division standings on Sunday with a 3-0 away victory over local rivals Instituto.
Matias Catalan put the visitors ahead by nodding home following Rodrigo Garro's corner in the eighth minute.
Garro made it 2-0 when he combined with Ramon Sosa before rifling a long-range effort into the bottom-left corner.
Talleres completed the rout 12 minutes from time as Sosa slotted a cool finish past goalkeeper Jorge Carranza after David Romero's assist.
The result leaves Talleres fifth in the 28-team standings with 16 points from nine outings, three points ahead of 13th-placed Instituto.
In other Primera Division fixtures on Sunday, Atletico Tucuman drew 0-0 at Colon and Platense prevailed 2-0 at Banfield.
