The Hangzhou Asian Games Museum opened its doors to the public on Wednesday, almost half one year after the grand event was held in east China's Zhejiang Province.
It is located in the basement of the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, dubbed "the Big Lotus", the main stadium for the 19th Asian Games.
Covering an exhibition area of 5,400 square meters, the museum has set three parts in its exhibition hall, showcasing Hangzhou's efforts from bidding for the Asian Games, preparing for and hosting the international event, to the history and future of the Asian Games.
Serving as a complement to the Asian Games held from September 23 to October 8, the exhibition has displayed abundant and diverse exhibits including torches, mascots, items signed by athletes from previous Asian Games, on-site props for the opening ceremony of the 19th edition of the multi-sports Games, as well as beddings and daily necessities inside the athlete's room.
In an immersive interactive area with a slate of installed projects, visitors will have the chance to experience infrared shooting, skiing, golf playing, and e-sports talent testing.
Reservations can be made through the official WeChat account of "Hangzhou 19th Asian Games".
