The presence of nearly 1,800 brands at the ongoing 2024 China Brand Day events has highlighted the development stories of Chinese brands and raised brand recognition.
Themed "China Brand, Global Sharing" and "Better Quality, Bright Future for Chinese Brands," The 2024 China Brand Day events kicked off on Friday in Shanghai and will last until May 14.
The events focus on how new quality productive forces have promoted the growth of Chinese brands, with heavy equipment and smart products such as robot dogs and glasses-free 3D on display.
Two theme exhibitions are set up during the events, with more than 150 time-honored Chinese brands displaying their featured products.
"It's really amazing. What impresses me most is that our Chinese brands are gaining growing influence and our manufacturing sector is getting stronger and stronger," said Guo, a visitor.
A report on the development of brands of centrally administered state-own enterprises will be released during the events, showing China’s achievements in brand building in all dimensions.
"Brands are an important symbol of high-quality development. The brand building, featuring technological innovation, quality improvement and cultural empowerment, is an important way to advance agricultural modernization and elevate industrial development to a higher end of the value chain, and also an important way to improve the quality of life and meet people's demand for a better life," said Gong Zhenzhi, deputy director of the Department of Industry under the National Development and Reform Commission.
Established in 2017, China Brand Day is celebrated on May 10 every year, aiming to increase society's awareness of brand development and create a sound atmosphere for brand building.
