The upcoming official launch of the China Cultural Center in Budapest will play a pivotal role in enabling more Hungarians to deepen their knowledge of China and Chinese culture, said the Hungarian enthusiasts.
The China Cultural Center in Budapest, established by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism in accordance with the bilateral agreement between China and Hungary the , serves as an official cultural institution.
According to the China-Hungary Joint Statement on the Establishment of an All-Weather Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the New Era issued on Thursday, the two sides will support exchanges and cooperation between the China Cultural Center in Budapest and the Liszt Institute - Hungarian Cultural Center in Beijing, among others.
The center has evolved into a significant platform for Hungarian enthusiasts to delve into the Chinese language, explore China's diverse cultural heritage, and gain insights into China's abundant tourism resources.
"(Hungarians) are keen on learning (Chinese) culture or understanding Chinese culture. So I think the China Cultural Center in Budapest will be a very important platform in the future to let Hungarian people better understand Chinese culture," said David, a staff member at the center.
Those Hungarians who have profound interest in Chinese culture have actively contributed to the construction of the cultural center. They believe that by immersing themselves in Chinese culture, they can gain a deeper understanding of China and its people.
"These are very very beautiful and touching the human soul, and I think if I learn and I practice these activities, I can get closer the human souls and the people," said Gabor Cserkesz, chairperson of the Chinese Art Center.
An official from the China Cultural Center in Budapest said that China and Hungary share deep-rooted friendship, with frequent notable cultural exchanges that underscore their strong bond. The center will further enhance these exchanges and create new opportunities for bilateral cultural collaboration.
"The China Cultural Center in Budapest will better serve the cultural exchanges between China and Hungary in the future, enhance the friendship between the two peoples, and promote the people-to-people bonds," said Jin Hao, director of the China Cultural Center in Budapest.
