YANTAI -- Drone show, breathtaking icefalls and folk dances were highlights of New Year celebrations in Shandong, Anhui, and Henan provinces of China.
In Yantai City of east China's Shandong Province, traditional folk music and dances added to the festive atmosphere.
"Today is New Year's Day, and we ordinary people just gather and dance in happiness, and live prosperous lives! Our life will be better and better," said local resident Liu Minjuan.
Wuhu City of east China's Anhui Province held a drone show to ring in the New Year, with more than 1,000 drones presenting countdown to 2025 and images of festive elements in the sky. The tourists also enjoyed parades and cultural heritage performances including molten-iron splashing.
"Wish us a safe, healthy, and happy new year. And also wish our motherland prosperity. We shall all devote efforts to building a great and beautiful China," said Hu Zihui, a tourist.
In Jiaozuo City of central China's Henan Province, the celebration featured local traditional opera and breathtaking icefalls at the Quanpu Gorge of Yuntai Mountain.
