China's National Film Administration and the Italian Ministry of Culture signed an agreement on co-production of films in Beijing on Monday in their latest step to enhance cultural exchanges and cooperation.
The agreement stems from consensus reached by leaders of the two countries to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, including film production, in recent years.
The newly signed agreement is expected to significantly promote joint film production between the two countries' film and television institutions, enhance mutual understanding and recognition between the Chinese and Italian peoples, thereby elevating bilateral relations to a higher level.
The signing ceremony was attended by officials from the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Italian Ambassador to China, as well as officials from China's National Film Administration and China Media Group.
