The 2022 Urban Business Environment Innovation Report was unveiled in Media Center, Beijing on April 3. Qingdao has been included among the 2022 innovative cities in terms of urban business environment, two innovative practices of which, namely “public service optimization” and “regulatory mechanism innovation”, are incorporated into the report.

     Employing the six-dimensional framework system with innovation at the core, the above report announced the 2022 innovative cities in terms of urban business environment by observing and analyzing business environment innovation practices of municipalities directly under the Central Government, capitals of provinces and autonomous regions, municipalities with independent planning status as well as cities featuring robust economic activities with a GDP of more than RMB1tn.

Over the recent years, Qingdao has focused on more convenience in going through formalities, law-based governance and justice, strong cost competitiveness and the campaign to built itself into a city suitable for living and working, made sustained efforts to optimize and upgrade its business environment, endeavored to build a demonstration city boasting market-oriented, law-based and international first-class business environment, persistently leading Chinese cities in business environment evaluation.

Qingdao has launched this year a special campaign on improving its business environment, which underscores the ten areas, namely politics and law, development and reform, industry and information technology, commerce, housing and urban-rural construction, transportation, land planning, market supervision, ecological environmental protection and administrative examination and approval, paces up with world-class levels, and optimizes and improves its policy, service, factor, market, law-based governance and cultural environment, so as to advance in its ranking of business environment among the first tier and make market entities increasingly satisfied.  (Yu Bo)
