After its founding, the base will be linked up to colleges and universities, regional development and adolescents in the bay area via “aesthetic education” and work to emerge as an aesthetic education platform of cultural and art exchanges, and inheritance and development of traditional culture for adolescents in the Shenzhen Bay Area.
Wang Ting said in an interview that there were multiple reasons to establish the Adolescent Aesthetic Education Innovation and Practice Base in Shenzhen Bay Area. "In the first place, aesthetic education should be linked up with elementary education instead of the mere application in higher learning institutions." According to Wang Ting, on the basis, she calls for popularizing aesthetic education in elementary schools, middle schools and colleges and universities and disseminating aesthetics across all levels of education. In the second place, the promotion of aesthetic education should be connected to regional cultural features. In the eyes of Wang Ting, Longhua District attaches great importance to cultural construction and has a profound accumulation of traditional culture, and therefore is a gathering place for the inheritance of traditional culture with distinctive features. “Longhua District has favorable conditions for the promotion of aesthetic education.” Last but not least, it is the innate strengths in geographic position and transportation. In her opinion, Longhua District’s innate strengths in geographic position and transportation enable the base to better carry out aesthetic education across the bay area. “The base can further extend its coverage by locating itself in Longhua.”
