CHENGGU -- Livestream video footage has shown amusing scenes of giant pandas thriving at a nature reserve, with three pandas seen enjoying a leisurely dip in their outdoor pool in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The footage was captured on the "iPanda" multimedia platform, which provides round-the-clock live broadcasts of the daily life and activities of pandas in the nature reserves of southwest China.
The trio of bears were seen taking time out from their busy schedule of munching on bamboo by relaxing in the rock-lined pool in their enclosure. One of the pandas seemed to be something of a veteran bath-taker, splashing water onto its body and soaking in some of nature's free delights, seemingly intent on creating his own jacuzzi effect by thrashing the water around excitedly.
The "iPanda" channel is supported by the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, a world leading institution for the breeding and conservation of one of China's national treasures. The center also established a global platform promoting international cooperation and exchanges involving 18 zoos from 16 countries and regions, as well as 39 domestic animal breeding institutions and more than 10 scientific research institutes.
