【Fuzhou Evening News】The notable Fuzhou Sanbao City has recently begun construction. Fuzhou Sanbao City is located to the west of Jin’an River, to the north of Xingang Street and neighbors Guohuo East Road and Liuyi Middle Road. The project is an important move to carry forward traditional culture of Fuzhou and increase the international recognition of Fuzhou culture, and vital to accelerating the pace of building Fuzhou into a modern international city.

The Nangong Hekou featured historical and cultural block in the planned area of Fuzhou Sanbao City has integrated the surrounding institutions of Fuzhou intangible cultural heritage including Fuzhou Carving Arts & Crafts General Factory, specialty Arts and Crafts City and Shoushan Stone Exchange Association, as well as historical buildings under protection like the complex of historical buildings in Fuzhou South Park and Rouyuan Station. Fuzhou aims to build the cultural block into an important platform of showcasing the unique charm of Fuzhou culture, which combines crafts production, product transaction, exhibition, online auction, studios of craft masters.

Furthermore, the Nangong Hekou featured historical and cultural block, which is famous for its traditional old-age houses, will make the most of river lanes and blocks to integrate featured commerce and trade, cultural tourism and external exchanges, restore the ancient scenes of living along the river and reproduce the prosperity like what the painting Along the River during the Tomb-sweeping Festival described over one thousand years ago.

Fuzhou Sanbao City will erect a 200m-high landmark building featuring “Fucuo surrounded by mountains and waters”, which will advance and retreat in different directions floor by floor, and aim to forge an excellent vision and experience of sightseeing with the aid of greenscapes.    (Chen Jian)
