Dutch diplomat praises Chinese people's devotion to traditional culture

In a recent interview with the Yangcheng Evening News, Fan Bolin, the Dutch Consul General in Guangzhou, said that many young people have participated in the display of art and culture. They are still young, but very professional in their trade.

"This has held me spellbound as in many other countries it's hard to find that many youths devote their time to cultivating traditional culture," he added.

"Last September, I arrived in China as a newcomer. I have seen Chinese people actively protecting and carrying forward their art and culture. I appreciate what they are doing. This holds a lesson for other countries," he further added.

近日，荷兰驻广州总领事范柏霖接受羊城晚报记者采访时表示，在活动中看到很多年轻人参与到艺术文化展示的工作中。这些艺术家和工作人员既年轻，又在文化艺术方面有着极高的专业素养，简直太棒了。其实在很多其他国家，难以看到这么多年轻人参与传统文化事业。我去年9月来到了中国，算是个“新人”。我在这里看到中国人积极地保护和传承自己的艺术文化，我很赞赏这一点，这值得其他国家学习和借鉴。
