Dance drama "Wing Chun" brought gambiered Canton gauze into fashion : Clothing is the culture worn on the body

In early March, the dance drama "Wing Chun" started its first round of national tours in Shenzhen. This dance drama features two intangible cultural heritage: Wing Chun fist and gambiered Canton gauze. The former carries the theme of the story, while the latter is a part of the visual presentation, which is properly integrated into the plot and stage performance.

On the stage, the dancers wore smooth gambiered Canton gauze clothes, showing their aptitude for traditional intangible cultural heritage.

As an ancient dyeing fabric in the Lingnan region, gambiered Canton gauze is made of silk and dyed with plants and minerals. It is known as the "soft gold" in fabrics. This traditional handmade craft has been passed down for hundreds of years.

舞剧《咏春》大量使用香云纱

3月初，舞剧《咏春》自深圳开启全国首轮巡演。这部舞剧容纳了双非遗——咏春拳与香云纱，前者承载了故事的主题，后者则是将视觉呈现的一部分，恰到好处地融入剧情与舞台表现中。

表演现场，舞者们穿着柔滑的香云纱，翩然舞出了传统非遗技艺的万般风情。

作为岭南地区的一种古老染色面料，香云纱以丝绸为胚，用植物和矿物染整，被称作面料中的“软黄金”，该传统手工工艺流传了数百年。
