TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong Staffers of Yinpingshan Forest Park in Dongguan City recently came across a swarm ofsilver pheasants while sorting out newly collected infrared camera footage. It is estimated that there have been more than four populations in the park, with the largest population exceeding 10. This is the first time asilver pheasant population has been spotted in Dongguan.

Silver pheasant is a second-class protected wild animal and bird of Guangdong Province. There are many others like the Oriental Storks,theBlack-faced Spoonbills, the black-headed gulls, and thepied avocets. Several batches of national-level protected animals have also successively appeared in Dongguan, which proves that the ecological environment of Dongguan continues to improve.

近日，东莞市银瓶山森林公园的工作人员在整理新近采集回来的红外相机素材时，发现了一大群白鹇入镜的珍贵画面。据估算，该森林公园内有超过4个白鹇种群、最大种群数量超过10只，这也是东莞市首次发现野生白鹇种群。白鹇又名银鸡，是国家二级保护野生动物，也是广东省省鸟。其实不止白鹇，东方白鹳、黑脸琵鹭、红嘴鸥、反嘴鹬……最近一段时间，一批批国家级保护动物接连现身东莞，从侧面印证了东莞的生态环境不断向好。
