Jiahewanggang in the Spotlight of Online Attention

City Life | Recently, Guangzhou’s Jiahewanggang Metro Station has gone viral online. The craze started with the release of its namesake song, which resonated nationwide. When the mayor publicly endorsed it, inviting visitors to Guangdong to listen to “Jiahewanggang” during the New Year, the trend sparked playful “meme battles” as other cities joined in — cementing the station’s status as a rising urban landmark.

At Jiahewanggang, Lines 2, 3, and 14 of the Guangzhou Metro converge. Northbound trains head to the airport, while southbound lines lead to the railway stations. For many, it’s their first stop upon arriving in Guangzhou and the last when leaving — earning it the nickname “a pivotal point in life.”#citylife
