Guangzhou Huazhao Festival Grows into a New Cultural Icon for the City

As spring gives way to summer, around 30,000 visitors gathered at Zhujiang Park, an urban oasis beside the CBD of Guangzhou, where centuries-old traditions met modern city life in a remarkable display of harmony. The first Guangzhou Huazhao Festival in 2024 was a two-day celebration held in a single park. By 2026, it had expanded to six interconnected parks across the city and welcomed international participant groups, reflecting its growing influence and appeal. Known as “the most romantic festival,” the Huazhao Festival is experiencing a vibrant cultural revival in Guangzhou, bringing traditional Chinese floral culture to new generations and global audiences.
