A Cantonese opera delights Beijingers!

#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong The Cantonese opera Barwo Guild was staged at Tianqiao Theatre, Beijing on May 9. Revolving around the revival of Cantonese opera, the show presented the legendary story of the establishment of the Barwo Guild. During the show, theater-goers were amazed and impressed by the challenging martial arts skills and moves suffused with Cantonese characteristics. The designs of music, lighting, sets, and props of the show–all have been a manifestation of Lingnan culture, reinforcing the artistic appeal. The show allowed more people to understand the tradition and development of Cantonese opera, promoting their knowledge of the history and culture of Lingnan.

5月9日晚，粤剧《八和会馆》在北京天桥剧院上演，讲述粤剧复兴、粤剧人创建“八和会馆”的传奇故事。其浓郁的“粤”味和以南派风格为基调的高难度武打技巧和动作的展示，令京城观众看得甚为过瘾。舞台呈现上，音乐、灯光、舞美场景以及道具等环节均围绕岭南特色来展示，具有强烈的艺术感染力，让更多观众了解粤剧传统及发展历程，推动人们对岭南历史文化的认识。
