Two teams from Zengcheng win at the Guangzhou dragon boat race

At the 2023 Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament, four teams from three towns of Zengcheng in  Guangzhou–Xintang, Shitan, and Xiancun–fought for the title on the Pearl River on June 17. Among them, the Shajiao Village team from Xiancun Town won the title in the colorful dragon boat race, while the Guwu Village Team from Shitan Town won the third prize in the 22-person dragon boat 600-meter straight race of the tournament. The dragon boat race is not only a sports competition but also a traditional cultural event. The race showcases Zengcheng’s beautiful natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and vibrant local customs. The traditional event explores the coordinated formula of integrating sports, culture, and tourism. 

6月17日在2023年广州国际龙舟邀请赛上，广州市增城区共有来自新塘镇、石滩镇、仙村镇的四条龙舟在珠江四“箭”齐发，最终仙村镇沙角村龙舟队荣获彩龙竞艳一等奖，石滩镇顾屋村龙舟队获得22人龙舟600米直道竞速季军。龙舟赛既是体育竞技项目，也是传统文化，广增城区依托秀美的自然景观、深厚的文化底蕴、浓厚的本土风情，深耕“体育+文化+旅游”的协调发展，推动“体育+文化+旅游”的深度融合。
