Heyuan, Guangdong: Ancient village with scenic lotus ponds

#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong Located in a basin north of the Lianjiang River, Linzhai Ancient Village in Heping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces water on the other. The village is dotted with yellow and green rice fields, gray square castles, fishponds with rippling water, lotus ponds with undulating waves, and scattered vegetable gardens and woods.

The square castles in the village are often surrounded by adjacent buildings, forming fortresses on the ground with gray walls stained with brown traces by rainwater erosion. The high and low locking eaves are full of historical dust that witnessed the people who once lived, farmed, and fought against dangers together in this ancient village.

广东省河源市和平县的林寨古村，位于浰江河北的盆地中，三面环山一面临水，在村中成片的稻田或黄或绿，其间坐落着灰白色的四方古堡，点缀着激荡着水花的鱼塘和碧波浮动的荷塘，还有零星的葱翠菜园和树林。

林寨古村中的四四方方古堡往往同周围的建筑围拢在一起，在大地上组成一片片的堡垒，灰白色的城墙沾染着雨水冲刷的褐色痕迹，底部是泥水沾染的棕黄，透过高低错落的屋檐，浸满着历史的烟尘，仿佛可以看到当时人们在这里一起生活、一起耕作、一起抵御危险。
