Fortune smiles upon foodies with the arrival of the 5-day Chini Town Food Festival from June 30 to July 4. The festival features the unique local specialties of all 32 villages and communities in the town. Local delicacies such as bozai cakes, pan-fried carrot cakes, Cantonese water chestnut cakes, qingtuan (a type of Chinese dessert made with sticky rice flour), Mulberry Leaf Tempura (Fired Mulberry leaves), and eggs with sticky rice are real gastronomical treats for epicures. The festival combines elements of pristine waters, blue skies, and a sea of purple crape myrtles with plenty of delectable dishes, allowing visitors to appreciate nature's splendor and savor rural cuisine amidst their busy schedules.
